What makes Gaynor's Different?
At Gaynor’s School of Cooking, we believe cooking should be more than just a class. It should be an experience you remember. Every class is hands-on from start to finish. You’ll prep, cook, bake, and then sit down to enjoy the meal you made. Whether you’re learning how to hand-roll pasta, bake a perfect tart, or try out new global flavors, our classes are built around doing, not just watching. We offer something for everyone. Join us for international cooking and baking classes, couples nights, private events, or corporate team-building workshops. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fun night out, you'll leave with new skills and great memories.
Gaynor is a familiar face in Pittsburgh’s food scene and on local television. She often appears on air around the holidays, sharing favorite recipes with the community. You may have also seen her on the popular PBS series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, where she appeared as the neighborhood chef. Her commitment to education and healthy eating has led to partnerships with the Pennsylvania PTA, where she created and starred in a series of family-focused cooking videos called Cooking Together, Cooking Forever. She also worked with the Pittsburgh Steelers to create a Kids Zone segment called Healthy Interception, filming engaging and educational cooking content with the players.
Most recently, Gaynor’s launched an international sister program called SPICE in San Pedro, Belize. Based on her Art of Fine Cooking series, this initiative trains local chefs to help raise the standard of cuisine across the island and support its growing food culture.
At Gaynor’s, it’s not just about cooking. It’s about creating something meaningful—together, in the kitchen, one meal at a time.
